WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
PRIORITY DRAW CONTEST – OFFICIAL RULES

1. ORGANIZER

Finnish Ice Hockey Association, Veturitie 13 H, FI-00240, Helsinki, Finland, hereinafter the “Organizer”, conducts the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship priority draw contest to the right to purchase ticket packages to games played in Tampere, Finland, hereinafter the “Contest”.

The Contest is executed in cooperation with the ticketing partner Lippupiste Oy and Pähkinäsaari Software Associates Oy.

2. ELIGIBILITY

All persons over the age of 18 are eligible to enter the Contest, except for employees of Finnish Ice Hockey Association, Lippupiste Oy and Pähkinäsaari Software Associates Oy who have participated in the preparation or execution of the Contest or its parts.

By entering the Contest, the entrants agree to comply with these rules.

3. PRIZE OF THE CONTEST

The prize of the Contest is an opportunity to purchase up to six (6) ticket packages for the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship on designated game days. The prize of the Contest has no monetary value. The Organizer reserves the right to decide on the number of prizes to be drawn per game day.

4. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

Entrants’ personal data will be processed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Finnish Personal Data Act. Entrants who have given marketing consent will be registered in the Organizer’s direct marketing register. The personal data of persons who gave their consent in connection with the Contest may be used and disclosed for direct marketing purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Contact information given in connection with the entry will also be used to reach the selected entrants and to deliver possible prizes. Persons entering the Contest accept upon entry that they may receive information relating to the Contest and the ticket sales via e-mail. Entrants who have given consent thereto will receive news information and/or promotional material, including ticket information, specifically related to IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships from the IIHF. The IIHF will process the entrant’s personal data in accordance with the  IIHF Privacy Policy.

5. DRAW DETAILS

The Organizer shall have the sole discretion to determine the number of entry forms that will be drawn. The number of drawn entry forms may exceed the number of ticket packages available for purchase, but it shall not exceed 10,000 entry forms per day.

An entrant may enter the draw of each desired game day and win the opportunity to purchase tickets for several days. Entrants may choose one price category per game day and the number of tickets for the game day in question. The opportunity to purchase is up to six (6) ticket packages per game day. An entrant, who wins the opportunity to purchase ticket packages and who decides to reclaim the tickets of a certain game day, must reclaim all tickets of the said day applied in connection with the Contest.

Example: Person X enters the Contest and wants four tickets for the game day of Friday, 20 May 2022. Person X wins the opportunity to purchase the said tickets. After that they may reclaim four or zero tickets for the game day in question.

The Contest has three phases, and by entering the Contest, the entrant may

a) win an opportunity to purchase tickets of the desired game day and price category

b) win an opportunity to purchase tickets of some other game day or price category than of which were applied

c) get an option to purchase unsold tickets after the tickets in items a) and b) have been reclaimed or not.

Entrants will be divided into different draw baskets according to how many tickets (1–6) an entrant announces to purchase in the entry form. The Contest is conducted so that it is possible to gain the opportunity to purchase tickets from all draw baskets for the game days applied in connection with the participation in the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to determine the number of tickets of the draw baskets.

6. DRAW SCHEDULE

The Contest commences on 2 September 2021 and closes on 26 September 2021 at 12:00 pm. (UTC+2).

To enter the Contest, an entrant must complete and submit the information requested in the online entry form. The entry form must be completed and submitted before the closing of the draw schedule. One person may enter the Contest with one entry form only, and the entry is limited to one entry per e-mail address. Entry forms will only be accepted online. Illegible, incomplete, late or distorted entry forms will be disqualified. No entry forms will be accepted by any other means than via the official web address. Entrants may change the entry form information prior to the end of the draw schedule. After the closing of the draw schedule, the information cannot be changed.

7. NOTIFICATION

The draw will take place on Monday, 27 September 2021, and the Organizer will contact all selected entrants by e-mail on Tuesday, 28 September 2021, at which time they will be provided further instructions to exercise their opportunity to purchase the tickets. The opportunity to purchase tickets is personal, and the entrants have no right to transfer it to a third party.

The opportunity to purchase tickets opens up simultaneously to all selected entrants. After the opportunity to purchase tickets has become available, selected entrants may choose the seat locations on the game day and of the price category entered. Seats cannot be reserved in advance, but they will be selected among the seats available at the given time. Seats will be verified when the purchase has been completed.

The Organizer does not guarantee that any ticket packages are available at the time when a selected entrant decides to exercise their opportunity to purchase tickets.

If the Selected Entrant does not exercise the opportunity to purchase by 15 October 2021 at 12:00 pm, the prize may be forfeited. If the prize is forfeited, the Organizer has the right to sell the ticket in question as it wishes. A non-claimed opportunity to purchase will not be compensated or reimbursed.

According to section 5, the option to purchase tickets described in item c will open on 16 October 2021 to those persons who have not won the opportunity to purchase tickets under items a and b. The opportunity to purchase tickets will open to all entrants on 21 October 2021.

Public ticket sales available to everyone for games to be played in Tampere will commence on Wednesday, 27 October 2021.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Organizer’s liability for the participation in the Contest is limited to the number and value of the prizes mentioned in these rules and to the submission of the prizes. Entrants will release the Organizer and other collaboration parties to the Contest from any loss or damage that results or is claimed to be resulted from the participation in this Contest. The Organizer assumes no liability for any malfunctions relating to data transmission in connection with the participation in the Content or for costs resulting from the participation, the acceptance or non-acceptance of the prize or events beyond the control of the Organizer that may, for instance, affect the utilisation of the prize.

9. DRAW MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION

The Organizer reserves the right to modify the rules or, where necessary, cancel the Contest for a well-founded reason. Such modifications are published on the Contest website.

10. DISQUALIFICATION

The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant or selected entrant it finds to be breaching the present rules or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest. Such tampering includes, for example, the participation in the Contest using several different e-mail addresses.
